Authors
There are a few authors that I truly enjoy reading. Even though most of these authors are well known, there are still some people I have talked to who have never heard of them so I would like to help spread their names in the hope of keeping their works in print for future reading.
Terry Brooks
Terry Brooks' first novel, The Sword of Shannara, was published in 1977. It was the first fantasy novel to appear on the New York Times best sellers list and remained there for 5 months. Two more books, The Elfstones of Shannara and The Wishsong of Shannara completed the trilogy. Since then he has published 16 more novels in the Shannara series to great success. In addition to the Shannara series, Landover, which includes six novels, was also a great success. Currently he is publishing one new novel per year to add to these wonderful worlds of Shannara and Landover.
Alexandre Dumas
French Author Alexandre Dumas is best known for his historical novels which has made him one of the most widely read french authors in the world. He may be best known for the novels The Count of Monte Cristo and The D'Artagnan Romances (The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years Later and The Vicomte de Bragelonnent which when published in English was split into three books The Vicomte de Bragelonne, Louise de la Valliere, and The Man in the Iron Mask)
