One night in 1992, I was over at a friend's house playing cards waiting for one of our favorite shows at the time to play on MuchMusic when Yorri came to life. The show was a cartoon called Ren and Stimpy and the main characters can be seen below in the screen capture..

For all those who are not familiar with this show, it was a cartoon about a chihuahua (Ren) and a cat (Stimpy). It was very stupid and crazy but my friend and I loved it. The particular episode we watched that night was called Svën Höek. In this episode, Ren's cousin Svën came for a visit. We thought it was a very funny episode and of course we tried to talk in Svedish. Then came the brilliant idea to give each other Svedish sounding names. I became Yorri and she became Yendel.
We had lots of fun with this at work (we worked together) although I am sure everyone thought we were nuts. This lasted for a few months until August 1993 when Yorri moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada and unfortunately Yorri and Yendel eventually lost touch with each other.
Then came the Internet. It was time for me to have a name to create a user account and email address. Yorri was the perfect alias and Yorri.com was born to showcase and share my craziness with you all, whether you like it or not ;p
Unfortunately that isn't where the madness stopped. The Yorripean family added Schvenn to the ranks. You can find him lurking around on his own site with links to his blogs and his forum dedicated to Naschcar...err..I mean NASCAR racing.
